About

Dr. Laura Muggli, Psy.D.

Hi! I’m Laura Muggli, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York, Florida, Illinois, and Wisconsin. I’m also PSYPACT Licensed, meaning I can practice teletherapy in most U.S. States. (Learn more about my teletherapy services here.)

I have been the keynote speaker at events in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. I’ve also been featured on a number of radio shows and podcasts, including The Howard Stern Show, as well as in the 2009 documentary, ADD and Loving It?!

For more than seven years, I was the Visiting Scholar/Clinical Psychology Supervisor in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Education & Credentials

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2006
  • PSYPACT Licensed to practice telehealth in participating states
  • Credentialed Health Service Psychologist by The National Register
  • Doctoral Degree, California School of Professional Psychology
  • Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology, Columbia University

I completed three years of Pre-Doctoral training in Neuropsychology at the San Francisco Veteran’s Hospital and the Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital from 2001-2004. As a result of my training in Neuropsychology, I conducted research on the relationship between smoking and the associated cognitive deficits often seen in schizophrenia patients, which was presented at the National Academy of Neuropsychology in 2002.

I completed my APA Accredited Internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. As a Post-Doctoral Resident, I specialized in Neuropsychological Assessments and psychotherapy with adults across the lifespan.

I believe that my background and experience provide the best of both worlds. I combine my study of Neuropsychology (extensive scientific knowledge of the human brain and its effect on behavior), with the interpersonal and relational aspects of my training in Psychology… as well as just being a nice human being.

I strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere so my clients feel comfortable and at ease. I promise to meet you where you are, showing compassion and empathy. I will, without judgment, guide and encourage you as you make the changes you need to make in order to live the life you desire.
